Dianna Douglas is an Associate Producer for NPR's Morning Edition. She directs live broadcasts, selects music bumpers for broadcasts, and has a hand in producing pieces and conducting interviews. She joined NPR in January 2003 as an intern for Weekend Edition Saturday, before which she lived in Rome for more than a year on her Mormon mission. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Douglas has covered the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, injured servicemen and their medical care upon returning from the Iraq war, and the Iraq war from Baghdad, for which she shared the Alfred I. DuPont Award for NPR's Iraq war coverage. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Douglas has a B.A. in Journalism from Brigham Young University. She is a harpist and tri-athlete, and a student of the Arabic language. She is a native of Atlanta and currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she rides her bike to work.
