Joseph M. Belth is the editor of Insurance Forum magazine. He is also a professor emeritus of insurance in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington. He was a life insurance agent in Syracuse. He was the president of the American Risk and Insurance Association. Mr. Belth is the author of Life Insurance: A Consumer's Handbook. He received the Financial Security Nest Egg Award in 1987 from the Life Communicators Association for professional activities in communicating to the general public. Mr. Belth also received the 1990 George Polk award in the special publications category. He is a member of the Indiana University faculty since 1962. Mr. Belth received his degrees from Cayuga Community College, Syracuse University and the University of Pennsylvania.
