Mr. Turner Verified

Matt Turner is co-anchor for KNWA-TV at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. each weeknight. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Turner joined the KNWA team in August 2003 as a sports anchor/reporter. Before KNWA-TV, he was reporting from Little Rock during the Nolan Richardson race discrimination trial. He also covered several other news events, including a Northwest Arkansas tornado in March 2006. During his time with the Razorback Nation sports team, he anchored throughout the week for KNWA-TV and KARK-TV. He also helped produce and report for "The Pigtrail," a 40-minute show on Sunday nights. Mr. Turner has done play-by-play and color commentary for Arkadelphia High School and OBU sports, hosted a weekly TV show, and written for the local newspaper.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Born and raised in Arkadelphia, Ark., Mr. Turner played football for the University of Southern Mississippi then transferred back to his hometown to quarterback for Ouachita Baptist University Tigers, where earned a degree in mass communications.
