Emily Price joined the KCCI team in February 2002. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Price's career began as an intern at WFLA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Tampa, and WUSA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Washington, D.C. She covered President George W. Bush's inauguration and interviewed a survivor of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. [CR-LF][CR-LF]During college, Price won the Stephen A. Trenkmann Award for excellence in broadcast journalism. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Price volunteers every week in the fifth-floor playroom at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. She also is a committee member of the 2004 'Light The Night' walk, which benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is a huge fan of the Super Bowl-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She also enjoys college basketball games, still photography, and kayaking in the Gulf of Mexico. [CR-LF][CR-LF]She grew up in Tampa, Fla., but enjoys living and working in the Midwest.
