Pat Lawson-Muse started her career at WRC-TV, NBC4 as a general assignment reporter and producer. She moved up to weekend evening anchor and later moved to her current post as a weekday anchor for the station's 4 p.m. newscast. In addition, she does a segment 'Get Healthy for Life' during her 4 p.m. newscast. Prior to arriving at channel 4 in Washington, D.C., Lawson-Muse was a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for WBAL-TV in Baltimore. She worked as a reporter for WTOP-AM and WOL-AM as well. Lawson-Muse is a former reporter and producer of 'Up Front', a weekly public affairs program about local issues that aired on WHUR-FM. Other stints were spent working at National Public Radio and the Mutual Black Network, all in in Washington, D.C. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Lawson-Muse has won several Emmy Awards, including two for Best Anchor. She has received Emmy nominations for her reporting. She has also received awards from the National Association of Black Journalists, The International Television and Film Festival of New York, The National Congress of Black Women, Inc. D.C. Chapter, and the Minority Business and Professionals Network. Lawson-Muse is a former board member of the National Orphan Foundation and honorary member of the board of The Edgemeade School for Boys. She is a member of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences and the Society of Professional Journalists.
