Lewis Ward is a Senior Research Analyst in the Wireless and Mobile Communications group based at IDC's headquarters in Framingham, Mass. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Before joining IDC in early 2004, Mr. Ward was a Senior Research Analyst at Collaborative Strategies, a San Francisco based management services firm that focuses on electronic collaboration and knowledge management. During his six years at Collaborative Strategies, he wrote functional and technical analyses of over a hundred client-server software applications, service offerings and products relating to communication and collaboration, particularly those at the intersection of data-, audio- and video-conferencing, although he also covered the e-learning, project management and wireless markets. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Ward has written for and/or been quoted in a variety of highly regarded magazines, newspapers and Web sites, and is a frequent lecturer. He received a BA in English from the University of California at Berkeley.
