Sandy Thomson has been with NewsChannel 15 since 1987. She has been chief weather specialist, and is now the meteorologist, on WANE-TV and the Local Weather Station for more than thirteen years. [CR-LF][CR-LF]The National Weather Association named Thomson "Broadcaster of the Year" in 1999. [CR-LF][CR-LF]She has served as a councilor for the National Weather Association National, and for the second year has been elected as a National Board Member for NWA. In addition, she serves as chairperson of the seal re-certification program.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to her entry into television, previous careers included teaching, corporate public relations, small business owner and fashion & special events' coordinator for L.S.
