Greg Stotelmyer has been a reporter for Action News 36 since May of 1987. He specializes in politics, agriculture and outdoor/environment reporting. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Stotelmyer won an Emmy for A Year on Kentucky's Backroads. In 1999 he won a regional Edwin R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association for his documentary about the life of a tobacco farm family. In 1993, Stotelmyer earned the Kentucky Farm Bureau Communications Award for his coverage of agriculture issues. He has received numerous United Press International and Associated Press Awards, including a 1997 honorable mention for best TV reporter in Kentucky. Stotelmyer is a native of Connersville, Ind., and lives in Richmond with his wife Paula and stepdaughter Kylee. He is a 1978 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he double majored in speech and mass communications.
