A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Shannon Stevens graduated from Berry High School in Hoover in 1979 and majored in Communications at Jacksonville State University. Stevens had dreams of being a DJ when she was just 12 years old, and it became a reality for her at age 16 when she became an intern at "Kicks 106". She was a DJ from1979 until 1985, when she took a job as a TV Producer for Fox 6. Two years later she returned to radio and became a Traffic Reporter, and then went on to anchor news. From there she became Public Service Director for WMMJ until the Rob and Shannon Morning Show was born. Stevens is happily married with a 7-year-old daughter Katiebug. She and her husband Richie are avid dog lovers with three dogs - Brody, Buffy and Bear - at home.
