Donna Seaman is also a reviewer at Booklist. Seaman focuses on fiction, poetry, criticism, art history, and creative nonfiction with an emphasis on natural history and environmental studies. Seaman is a regular contributor of reviews and essays to the Ruminator Review, Chicago Tribune, Speakeasy, and TriQuarterly. She has also contributed articles to the Scribners' reference series, American Writers and the forthcoming Oxford Encyclopedia of American Literature. She is the host of the radio show Open Books on WLUW, Loyal University Chicago's community radio station. She is a recipient of several Illinois Arts Council grants, The James Friend Memorial Award for Literary Criticism, and The Writer magazine?s Writers Who Make a Difference Award. Her current term on the NBCC board ends in 2006. She has a fine arts degree and a master's in English literature.
