As morning co-anchor of WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, Ind, Julia Moffitt covers international news, local news, national news, and regional news. Moffitt anchors Eyewitness News Sunrise Monday through Friday. She came to WTHR-TV from WANE TV15 in Fort Wayne, Ind., where she anchored the #1 rated Noon and 5 p.m. weekday newscasts. Prior to her stint at WANE-TV, Moffitt served as a 6 and 11 p.m. weeknight anchor for WENY TV36, the ABC affiliate in Elmira, N.Y.. Moffitt began her broadcasting career as an intern in 1991 at WTHI in Terre Haute, Ind. In 1993, she began another internship, this time with WISH TV8 in Indianapolis where she gained experience writing and researching stories.[CR-LF][CR-LF] Originally from Lebanon, Ind., Moffitt graduated from Indiana State University with a B.S. in Communications. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, working out and playing tennis.
