Mr. McNally Verified

Tim McNally grew up in Dallas, graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School, majored in Journalism at the University of North Texas, and has worked in the corporate world in marketing, community relations, association management and expansion, as well as Industrial development. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He moved to New Orleans, right after college, focusing his career as a writer, creative provider, manager, and account service executive for marketing agencies. In 1986, he opened his own complete-service marketing consulting company, IDEAS of New Orleans, Inc. [CR-LF][CR-LF]McNally regularly judges a number of competitions, including the Riverside, California International Wine Competition; the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition; the Sonoma County, California Harvest Fair Wine Competition; the New Orleans, Louisiana Wine and Food Experience Wine Competition; and the Sandestin, Florida Wine Festival Wine Competition. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He also lectures and does wine appreciation instruction at various locations, including the Auburn, Alabama University School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. [CR-LF][CR-LF]McNally has served two-terms as President, and eight terms as a Board Member, of the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. He also is a past president of the American Wine Society, New Orleans chapter. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He is the wine columnist for CityBusiness Northshore monthly publication, host of the weekly two-hour Wine Show on WIST-AM, moderator and is a contributing editor of www.neworleans.com FoodFest Wine pages and Wine Forum, as well as serves the New Orleans hospitality industry as a restaurant Wine and Beverage Consultant.
