Bert Mandelbaum covers sports medicine. The American Journal of Sports Medicine had published his research from on the ACL Prevention Project. He is also president of the Santa Monica Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Research Foundation.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before coming to the journal, Dr. Mandelbaum worked for the national U.S. men?s soccer team from 1991 through the World Cup of 2006 and with the national U.S. women?s soccer team for the 1999 and 2003 women?s World Cup.[CR-LF][CR-LF]He is still a member of the USA Gymnastics Sports Medicine Advisory Board and is the team doctor for the athletic department at Pepperdine University. He received the Dr. Ernst Jokl Sports Medicine Award in 2006.[CR-LF][CR-LF]He graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine and received further education at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of California, Los Angeles.
