Charles Kolodgy's responsibilities within the Security Products service includes both hardware and software security products. Product areas of concentration include firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability assessment and management, hardware authentication (tokens and smartcards), and encryption. Research areas that cut across product markets include product certification, website security, and security policy.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Kolodgy was at the National Security Agency for over 15 years prior to joining IDC. He held a variety of analyst and managerial positions within both information assurance and signals intelligence organization. Kolodgy was certified under the Agency's Information Security Professionalization program.
