Eric Frede reports for several shows on the New England Sports Network: W.B. Mason Extra Innings, Granite City Extra Innings and The Boston Globe Pre-Game Report. He is also an anchor and a play-by-play announcer. Frede joined the network in December 2002 as a "SportsDesk" anchor and field reporter.[CR-LF][CR-LF]He began his career in broadcasting at a television station in New York. Frede was also a production assistant at NBC Sports. After gaining experience, he served as sports reporter/anchor at a station in Bangor, Maine, and then at WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Frede received several honors and awards, including two New England Emmys in 2005 and the Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Reporting
