Howard Finkelstein has worked at WSVN-TV since 1995, when he began providing viewers with an explanation of the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Since then, he has continued with detailed explanations of the law as they apply in day-to-day news stories. His weekly show is titled Help Me Howard. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Finkelstein has received numerous awards for his work and contributions to the community. May 21st of 2000 was dedicated as Howard Finkelstein Day in Broward County, Fla. By the chairperson of the Broward County Commission. In 2000, he was presented the Communicator Award by the Venetian chapter of Toastmasters. He was named Humanitarian of the Year for 1999 by the Broward County Young Democrats and Citizen of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers, Broward Chapter. In 1996, he was a recipient of the EPIC (Exceptional People Impacting the Community) Award, presented by the Mental Health Association of Broward County. For character, credibility and honesty, he won the Harry Gulkin Award from the Broward County Defense Lawyers Association. The International Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi recognized him for his legal accomplishments.
