Mr. Dixon Verified

Mason Dixon is an on-air personality for WRBQ-FM, where he also serves as program director. Dixon--who enjoys cult status in the Tampa Bay, Fla.--area, previously worked for a number of other stations, including locally based WFLZ-FM, and WYUU-FM. His on-the-air charisma and programming talents have earned him the titles of Air Personality of the Year and Operations Manager of the Year from various radio publications over the years--including Billboard Magazine in 1996. When he's not on air, Dixon can be found tinkering around on old cars, playing guitar, boating, and snow-skiiing. The married father of two also is a dedicated philanthropist, who started his own charity--The Christmas Wish Fund. Dixon also actively works on behalf of other organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Association, and Metropolitan Ministries. An animal lover himself, he hosted the Super Adopt-A-Thon event in Seminole, Fla., to help find homes for pets lost during Hurricane Charley.
