Optocouplers and Microcontrollers from Renesas Featured in FTM by Future Electronics

Montreal, Canada (pressreleasepower) January 7, 2020 - Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, is featuring advanced optocouplers and microcontrollers from Renesas in the latest issue of Future Technology Magazine (FTM).

The Renesas RA family is a new range of 32-bit MCUs based on the Arm Cortex-M core architecture, and they benefit from Renesas' best-in-class technology for embedded system peripherals.

The RA family includes the RA2, RA4 and RA6 series, giving users a wide choice of performance ratings and features. Designers using the Renesas RA family can meet the requirements for scalability, power consumption and performance of almost any embedded end product.

The Renesas RV1S9x60 family of optocouplers supports data-transfer rates of up to 15Mbits/s and offers high noise tolerance. These devices operate at a low threshold input current, just 2.0mA in the case of the RV1S9160A, from a 3V to 5V power supply, to deliver low power consumption.

Featuring a minimum common-mode ratio of 50kV/¼s, these optocouplers are suitable for use in electrically noisy industrial environments, where they can isolate sensitive components such as microcontrollers from high transient voltages while enabling the high-speed transmission of input signals.

Future Technology Magazine is the flagship publication of Future Electronics, and is geared toward engineers and buyers looking to keep up with the latest developments in the industry. FTM comes out eight times per year, and each issue is packed with new product information, application notes, and detailed technical views from Future's Advanced Engineers and other industry experts. The magazine is available in both digital and print editions.
