Inspirant Group announced today an Inspirant Insights L!ve event on October 17, 2019. The evening will consist of a panel discussion featuring innovators in the financial services industry which aims to bring together those leaders at the forefront of financial services technology with leaders of established industry firms. After the discussion there will be a networking opportunity with complimentary cocktails. About the event, Inspirant CEO Amir Azarbad said, Inspirant Group is excited to bring together some of the brightest minds in financial services for a forum on the future of their industry.
The discussion will be led by financial services veteran, and Inspirant Group Head of Marketing, Len Musielak. As a Cboe market maker, head of operations for inter-dealer broker Associated Options, and a VP in systems engineering for Convergex Options and Technology (Liquidpoint), Len witnessed first-hand the transition from paper to electronic trading, fractions to decimals, and the dawn and dominance of algorithmic trading. Asked why he volunteered to moderate this event, Len said, Financial services have been a huge part of my life. I spent years and years studying finance and I have benefited greatly by using that knowledge in my life outside of the industry. With new technologies, like the ones offered by our panelists, the financial services industry has become much more accessible, understandable, and easy-to-use for industry outsiders in the general public. I am excited to help bring attention to these game changing companies. As to how he feels about hosting the panel at Cboe he said, I am especially honored to be able to host this event at Cboe. I quite literally grew up here and have always been impressed by the Exchange's ability to be at the forefront of changes in their space. From product innovations like introduction of the first exchange listed options, options on the S&P 100 (OEX) and S&P 500 (SPX),the creation of LEAPS (Long-term Equity Antic Pation Securities), and the creation of the VIX (the world's premiere barometer of market volatility), to technology innovations like the first order routing system, the first electronic trading book (EBOOK), the first automated execution system (RAES), the Rapid Opening System (ROS), CBOEdirect, C2, LiveVol, Vest Financial, and now BATS, Cboe has always been an innovator in their space and continues innovate now. The Cboe trading floor provides an excellent visualization of the past, present, and future of financial services.
