Norby Williamson joined ESPN in 1985. He was promoted to executive vice president In 2005 and oversees all ESPN and ABC Sports game, event and studio production work for domestic television and radio networks. He also oversees studio production and is responsible for the networks? on-site coverage of major events.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Starting in 2002, Williamson served as senior vice president and managing editor at ESPN. Prior to that, Williamson served as a vice president and assistant managing editor (2000-02).[CR-LF][CR-LF]Williamson has served as production assistant (1985-87), associate producer (1987-89), highlights supervisor (1989), producer (1990-93), coordinating producer (1993-94), senior coordinating producer for SportsCenter (1998-99) and assistant managing editor and news director (1999-2000).[CR-LF][CR-LF]Williamson?s production work on ESPN studio programs received a Sports Emmy Awards for SportsCenter (1990) and NFL GameDay (1988) and three CableACE Awards for SportsCenter (1990, '91) and NFL GameDay (1989).[CR-LF][CR-LF]Williamson earned his degree in corporate/video communications from Southern Connecticut State University.
