Bill Watson is an anchor/reporter for WBZ-AM and can be heard anchoring the news during the weekend. Watson joined the staff of WBZ Newsradio 1030 in 1992. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Watson, a veteran of over 30 years in radio news, began his career in 1971 at WELI Radio in New Haven, CT. Watson also worked at radio stations in Bridgeport, MA and Hartford, CT before coming to Boston in 1981 to work for WEEI. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Watson has covered Presidents of the United States from Richard Nixon to George Bush. While in Connecticut, he was heavily involved in covering the historic 1974 campaign of Ella Grasso, who was elected as Connecticut's first woman Governor. At WEEI, Watson covered Boston City Hall extensively, reporting on the administrations of Mayors Kevin White and Ray Flynn. Outside politics, Watson has covered stories ranging from the Apollo astronauts to the Boston Marathon. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Watson is a graduate of Fairfield University with a bachelor's degree in history. Watson currently resides in Methuen, MA with his wife.
