Robert Veatch is senior editor for Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal and covers ethics. He is also a professor of medical ethics and former director of the Kennedy Institue of Ethics at Georgetown University. In addition to being senior editor of the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal, he is a former editorial board member for the Journal of the American Medical Association. He has also been director of the Research Group on Death and Dying at the Hastings Center in New York. He received his Ph.D. in medical ethics from Harvard in 1970. Among the high-profile ethical cases he has been involved with were those of Karen Ann Quinlan and 'Baby K.'
