Ms. Sydell Verified

Laura Sydell is the arts and technology correspondent for the NPR news magazines, All Things Considered, Morning Edition, and Weekend Edition. She is also the senior technology reporter on Public Radio International's Marketplace.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Previously, Ms. Sydell worked as a reporter for NPR member station WNYX. She has received awards from The Newswomen's Club of New York, The New York Press Club, and The Society of Professional Journalists. She has also produced several documentaries, which have been honored by American Women in Radio and Television, The National Federation of Community Broadcasters, and Women in Communications.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms.Sydell has a Bachelor's degree from William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y. and has a J.D. from Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law. She completed a one-year fellowship at the National Arts Journalism Program at Columbia University and attended graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley studying journalism.
