Jancey Sheats joined KARK-TV in January 2005 as a co-anchor of the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts. So far, she has had the opportunity to cover stories such as spending a week with our local Marines at Camp Pendleton, sitting down for one-on-one in depth interviews with our gubernatorial candidates, and following the hogs to Atlanta as they competed for an SEC Championship.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to KARK-TV, Sheats has experience as an intern at KEYE-TV, KXAN-TV and KLBJ-TV during her years at university. After college, Jancey found her way to Sherman, Texas where she worked as a producer/reporter/anchor for KXII-TV, the CBS affiliate.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Jancey was recently voted as one of the top anchors in Little Rock by ?The Arkansas Times ? Best of the Best.? Jancey was also chosen as ?Best News Anchor? in the market by the Port Arthur News and won numerous state and local awards for her news reporting.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Jancey is currently a member of the Junior League of Little Rock, is on the Fine Arts Center Board, and serves on the Women?s Advisory Board for Baptist Hospital.
