Sabrina Pisu, Journalist and writer, was born in Rome where
she studied literature and philosophy at “La Sapienza” University, where she
obtained her doctorate with honors. Currently, she lives in Geneva. She enjoys
traveling a lot to discover new countries and new cultures. Columnist in legal
and international affairs, she worked in Italy for Radio24 Il Sole-24 ore, Sky
and Rai3.
For the past six years, she has lived and worked in Lyon,
France, as a journalist and special correspondent for Euronews, a European news
channel that covers all world news from a European perspective. Ella produced
daily reports on Italian and international politics for the Italian language
newscast and followed the main news stories live. Ella has made inquiries and
interviews, even exclusive ones, on Italian politics, the Mafia, corruption and
the management of the reception of immigrants in Italy. In 2010 with Alessandro
Zardetto, she wrote the book L'Aquila 2010, il miracolo che non c'è
(Castelvecchi): an investigation into the speculations after the earthquake in
L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo Region.
In 2017 with Judge Vincenzo Calia, she wrote Il caso Mattei,
le prove dell'omicidio del presidente dell 'ENI (Chiarelettere). The book
speaks for the first time of the investigation led by Judge Calia which showed
that Enrico Mattei, the founder and president of the Italian oil group ENI
(acronym of Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi), was the victim of an attack. The
volume, which traces fifty years of omissions, lies and screenings on the part
of the Italian State, won the prestigious International Prize for Literature,
City of Como 2018, essay section, and to position itself in second place.
