Ms. Denise Richter became the executive editor of the Daily Advertiser in 2005. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms. Richter was previously the executive editor of the Times Herald of Port Huron, Mich.. She started off as a city desk reporter at The Brazosport Facts in Clute, Texas. She then joined The Clarion-Ledger at Jackson, Miss., as a copy editor. [CR-LF][CR-LF]1986, Ms. Richter joined the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as a copy editor and was named Page One editor in 1987. In 1990, she moved to the St. Petersburg Times as a Metro copy desk/design editor. [CR-LF][CR-LF]In 1991, Ms. Richter became assistant managing editor for the Statesman Journal at Salem, and was then named managing editor at the Journal and Courier at Lafayette, Ind., in 1994. In 1996, she moved to the Commercial-News at Danville as managing editor (the top editor position). [CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms. Richter is a graduate of Texas A&M. She is also a graduate of the Gannett Senior Editors Management Development Program.
