Rob Reynolds was a producer and correspondent for CNN in London, where he covered the Gulf War from Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He came to CNBC from NBC, where he served as Moscow correspondent for two years. Mr. Reynolds began his television career in 1981 as an assignment editor at WJZ-TV in Baltimore. During his tenure abroad, he covered a variety of stories, including the Russian presidential elections, President Yeltsins health problems, the Kremlin power struggle, the war in Chechnya, and the Mir space station crises. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Reynolds won an Emmy Award for his Saving Somalia coverage in 1992 and a Cable Ace Award for his 1991 series, Famine in Africa. He earned a bachelor's degree from Reed College in Portland, Ore. and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
