Lynda H. Powell, PhD, is a professor of preventive medicine, psychology and medical physics at the Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. She is a cardiovascular epidemiologist and licensed psychologist who specializes in women's health, psychosocial factors in cardiovascular disease and behavioral randomized clinical trials to promote cardiovascular health. Ms. Powell is a graduate of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program for Women. She is an invited member of the faculty for the NIH Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research Summer Institute on Clinical Trials Involving Behavioral Interventions and an invited standing member of the National Institutes of Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Clinical Trials Review Committee.
