Thomas P. Moran, also the founder of Human-Computer Interaction, is a distinguished engineer at the IBM Almaden Research Center and a principal scientist at Xerox PARC. He has written a number of articles, book chapters, and reports. Moran formerly served as research scientist and as manager for Collaborative System Area. He served for User-System Research Area at Xerox Parc and as a first director for Rank Xerox EuroPARC, Cambridge. Moran holds a degree in Architecture from University of Detroit, and a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University.
