Duncan Lindsey is editor-in-chief for Children and Youth Services Review. He is a professor of social welfare at the University of California in Los Angeles, and is also the general editor of the Child Welfare book series from Oxford University Press. Lindsey won several article awards for 'The Failure of Intensive Casework Services to Reduce Foster Care Placements: An Examination of Family Preservation Studies.' He has written and contributed a number of articles on public child welfare and social policy to numerous publications, and he is author of the book 'The Welfare of Children.' Lindsey served as chair of the the University of California - Los Angeles Academic Senate from 2002 to 2003. He holds a PhD in Sociology, Psychiatry and Social Work from Northwestern University.
