Kevin Kilbane received a bachelor's degree in business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. He worked at The Republic in Columbus, Ind., as a reporter from 1983-1986. He began his career at The News-Sentinel as a reporter for the Neighbors section in 1986. He joined the Features department in 1989 covering radio, television, religion and family issues. From 2002 to 2003, Kilbane worked on in-depth reporting projects, breaking news, features and religion stories as a member of the newspaper's enterprise team. And since 2003 he has been a general assignment reporter for the Metro department, covering religion/spiritual issues and local colleges.
