Beth Hunt is a morning news anchor for KATV-TV and co-host of Daybreak and Midday Arkansas. [CR-LF][CR-LF]An Arkansas native, she grew up in the small town of Carlisle and was a 1995 graduate of Carlisle High School. From there, she set out for Jonesboro, where she earned a degree in radio-television from Arkansas State University. After a short time in graduate school, she decided to jump right into television. She worked behind the scenes at Channel 7 for a few months, then took her first reporting job in Fort Smith/Fayetteville. Ten months later (November 2002), she returned to central Arkansas and Channel 7. She has reported on such stories as the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster and the opening of the Clinton Presidential Library, as well as the hype surrounding the first Arkansas Razorback games of the year. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, playing the piano, water skiing and shopping.
