Jay Harris is a sports anchor for ESPN SportsCenter. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to his current assignment, he served as an anchor for WPGH-TV/FOX53-TV. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Harris was honored with a Silver World Medal from the New York Festival for writing and hosting. He also received a Robert L. Vann award from the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation, and an EXCEL Award from the Hampton Roads Black Media Professionals. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Harris is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. He previously sat on on several boards, including the Josh Gibson Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Western Pennsylvania and Family Services of Western Pennsylvania[CR-LF][CR-LF]Harris holds a degree in speech communication from Old Dominion University, graduating in 1987.
