Ray Hardman is music director and local news anchor for "Morning Edition" for WNPR-FM. Hardman joined WNPR in July 1996 after nearly eight years at WFSU-FM in Tallahassee, Florida, where he served as a reporter and "Morning Edition" host. He started at the station as a reporter and producer, helping them expand their regional news coverage. He has some award-winning stories to his credit. Hardman has a music education degree from St. Mary's College of Maryland, and he completed graduate work at Florida State University. He also is busy as a performer, having worked with the Simsbury Light Opera, The Producing Guild and The Cabaret Company.
