Frank Gilbane is the president of Bluebill Advisors, which publishes the Gilbane Report. Frank is the recipient of the Graphic Communications Association (GCA) TechDoc award and is the author of many articles dealing with digital rights management. Frank was the founder and former president of Publishing Technology Management, founder of the firm Techno Forum SARL, co-founder of the Documentation conferences, and founder of the Gilbane Report. Frank is a frequent speaker at publishing and information industry conferences. Frank was a founding member of the Board of Advisors to Standard Generalized Markup Language Open (SGML). He was a past committee member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Standards, and the Graphic Communications Association (GCA). He is on the editorial advisory boards of the CALS Journal, On-demand Business magazine, and DataPros Information Management Service. He was the founding director of the Dynamic Content Software Strategies service. He has worked with the market research and consulting firm CAP Ventures Incorporation (CAPV). He was also on the board of directors for CAPV. He has held various positions in software development, marketing, and senior management at Texet Corporation and Quadex Corporation. He is a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum and the Advisory Board of the MIT Press journal Markup Languages: Theory & Practice. He is a managing partner at Lighthouse Seminars LLC and StrataData Partners, LLC. He works as an advisor to the XML & e-business Integration Forum and Documation events in France. He serves on the board of directors of Art Plus Technology (APT). He is a strategic advisor to QPID Incorporation, and serves on the advisory board of the University of Washington's Content Management Systems (CMS) Evaluation Lab.
