Dave English is an airline captain and book editor. English came to the United States after graduating from college and worked in a grocery store, a record shop and as a car salesman. Then he learned to fly and worked his way into an airline job. English has also worked in the technical side of theater productions and music concerts and moonlighted as a nightclub disc jockey. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He is the editor of the best-selling books Slipping The Surly Bonds: Great Quotations on Flight and The Air Up There: More Great Quotations on Flight. English has written articles in Air Line Pilot, Airliners, Aviation Consumer, Flight Training, IFR, and Professional Pilot magazines. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Some of his interests are jogging, weight training, mountain biking, reading, surfing and blading. English studied physics at the University of Warwick.
