In addition to editing the Kansas History: A Journal Of The Central Plains, Virgil W. Dean works as an adjunct assistant professor of history at Washburn University. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He has authored numerous Kansas-related entries/essays for publications such as 'The Encyclopedia of American Biography,' 'American National Biography,' 'Encyclopedia of the Great Plains,' and 'The Encyclopedia of the Midwest.' His articles have appeared in many magazines including Agricultural History, Kansas History, and Great Plains Quarterly. He has taught Washburn's Kansas history course and directed the Society's summer seminar for secondary teachers.
