Rick Dawson is an investigative reporter. He joined WISH-TV in 1987 as a general assignment reporter. During his career, he served as a weekend anchor and manager of Channel 8's award-winning I-Team. Along with anchoring for "Weekend Daybreak", he still reports investigative stories for the I-Team. Prior to WISH-TV, he worked at WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.V., as a reporter, producer, and anchor. He also worked at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Ind., as a reporter and morning news anchor. [CR-LF][CR-LF]While at WISH-TV, Dawson won four Emmy awards and was recognized with numerous honors from the Indiana Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. Dawson also won an award for investigative reporting from the West Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters Association. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Dawson's interests include freelance writing, photography, and renovating his 1845 brick farmhouse in Rush County. He attended Indiana University, graduating with majors in broadcast journalism and psychology.
