He has worked as a reporter for The State Newspaper in
Columbia, SC and The Alamogordo Daily News in Alamogordo, NM and has
contributed reporting to the New York Times. His writing has also appeared in
The El Paso Times, Lake Murray Magazine, and Engage Furman Magazine.
As an undergraduate, he served as editor-in-chief of The
Paladin student newspaper, which won five statewide awards for journalistic
excellence under his editorship.
Bryan originally came to Korea as an English Teaching
Assistant through the Fulbright Program and worked for two years at a high
school in Jeollabuk-do prior to becoming a freelance journalist.
