Jay Barker is a former college and professional football player who has worked for Talk 850 WYDE-AM and Sports Radio 690 WJOX-AM. He became the Alabama Crimson Tide's all time leading passer in 1994, and later a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. During his days as a college player, he was also a finalist for the Davey O'Brien Outstanding College Quarterback award, finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy balloting, was the Nashville Banner and Birmingham News SEC Player of the Year and was named to numerous All-America teams. Barker also won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. He was the Nashville Banner and Birmingham News SEC Player of the Year and was named to numerous All-America teams. Barker's greatest professional achievements are a national championship in 1992. He has played professionally in the National Football League, Canadian Football League and Extreme Football League. Barker's hobbies are golf, fishing and hunting. He is married to his college mate and has four kids. Barker earned a degree in sports fitness management and cooking education at the University of Alabama.
