Stephen Winzenburg is an Associate Professor of Communications at Grand View College in Des Moines. Since 1995, he has hosted "Winzenburg on the Weekend" every Saturday morning at 11:00 on WHO Radio in Des Moines, Iowa. Winzenburg is widely known for his 20 years of research on television evangelists. Since the PTL scandal of 1987, Winzenburg has been the subject of over 500 media stories, including appearances on ABC's "Nightline," "The CBS Evening News," "Good Morning America" and CNN's "Talkback Live". His comments have appeared in hundreds of publications, such as Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post and over 30 times in the USA Today. His writings include co-authoring a 1988 hardcover book entitled "Jim and Tammy" and his 1989 book, "A Guide to Watching TV Preachers." Winzenburg's B.A. degree is from the University of South Dakota and his graduate degree from the University of Minnesota.
