I am now an editor on the Shanghai Daily in China.
Until recently, I was the managing editor of the Cambodian
Business Review, based in Phnom Penh.
I split my time between China and Malaysia, but I've been
working throughout Southeast Asia since 1991, so I have deep contacts
throughout the region. I also regularly travel throughout the region.
Before this role, I was editor-in-chief of the Khmer Times
daily newspaper.
I have been a journalist 35 years in the Pacific, Southeast
Asia, South Asia, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, the Middle East - including iraq
and Libya - and the UK.
That was with Reuters, USAID and local and international
newspapers.
I file for text, radio, pix and TV.
I also devise and run hostile environments courses for
journalists..
