Ms. Allison Rosati has been a co-anchor and reporter for the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts for WMAQ-TV since 1990.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Originally from Minnesota, the Illinois Broadcasters Association named Rosati and co-anchor Warner Saunders as the best news team in 2004.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before anchoring the evening newscasts, Rosati served as an anchor for "First Thing in the Morning". In addition, she does a weekly segment titled "Wednesday's Child", and contributes to the station with special reports. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Rosati worked as a co-anchor for the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts for WGRZ-TV in New York in July of 1987. She also served as a general assignment reporter.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Her first job in the industry was at KTTC-TV in 1985, also working as a general assignment reporter. Later, she was promoted to work as a producer and co-anchor for the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Always willing to give back to the community, Rosati is a volunteer for many Chicago community organizations such as: the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Infant Welfare Society, the Ronald McDonald House, and the March of Dimes.[CR-LF][CR-LF]She is also the recipient of many prestigious awards for work in the industry. Rosati earned an Emmy-award for her documentary titled "Survive Alive", a fire prevention and station special project.[CR-LF][CR-LF]In 2000, she earned the Chicago Emmy Award for her participation in "NBC 5 Presents: Millenium 2000".[CR-LF][CR-LF]Rosati also earned the "Humanitarian of the Year" award from the Italian-American Police Association in 2004. The same organization named her "Woman of the Year" in 2001.[CR-LF][CR-LF]She is married with four children.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Rosati earned a double major in speech and communications with cum laude honors from Gustavus Adolphus College.
