Steve Ohr is a research director for Gartner covering semiconductors. He worked in the IT industry for more than 21 years before joining the company.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to Gartner he was sight manager and editor of the EE Times Planet Analog and Embedded Systems for Electronic Engineering Times/CMP Media LLC for 9 years, a senior editor and conference organizer for Computer Design Magazine and PennWell Publishing for 6 years, and editor and conference organizer for Asian Electronics Engineer/Global Sources for 6 years.[CR-LF][CR-LF]In 1985 Ohr won the trade magazine industry's equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize called the Jesse Neil Award for some of the earliest reporting on RISC microprocessor development.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Ohr earned his BS in industrial engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and his MA in sociology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
