Mr. Jarvenpaa Verified

Sirkka L. Jarvenpaa is the joint editor-in-chief of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems, as well as senior editor of Information Systems Research. She has served as a senior editor for MIS Quarterly and an associate editor for many other journals. Jarvenpaa has received several best paper awards including two Society of Information Management (SIM) Paper awards, as well as the MIS Quarterly Best Paper award and the Academy of Management Organizational Communication and Information Systems Best Paper Award. She won the AIS Fellow Award. Jarvenpaa co-directs the Center for Business, Technology and Law at the McCombs Business School. She was vice president for the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and chair for the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). Jarvenpaa holds a B.S. from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
