Mr. Grove Verified

Dustin Grove is the weekend anchor for WSBT-TV and has been with the station since 2003. He is also a statehouse reporter, specifically assigned to the Indiana statehouse during each year?s legislative session. He covered the 2004 gubernatorial election and was assigned to the Mitch Daniels campaign. In addition to reporting for WSBT News, Grove also writes occasionally for the South Bend Tribune.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Previously, he was a radio news anchor and reporter at WIBC-AM in Indianapolis and for Network Indiana news service, also based in Indianapolis. [CR-LF][CR-LF]During his career, he has been honored with awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Associated Press as one of Indiana?s best reporters. In 2008, he won a first place award from the AP for his investigative report "Violent Crime: Everyone Pays." He was also honored for Best News Series (2nd place) in 2005 after traveling to Sri Lanka to cover the efforts of local relief workers in the aftermath of devastating tsunamis.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Grove graduated from Ball State University?s prestigious College of Communication, Information, and Media with a degree in Telecommunications-News. While at Ball State, he produced and reported a number of stories for CNN; several of which earned national recognition.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Although he grew up in central Indiana, he lives in South Bend with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and finding great places to eat.
