Doreen Gentzler joined News 4 in 1989 from WCAU-TV in Philadelphia. Besides reporting on cutting-edge health issues during News 4 Your Health, she is the spokesperson on the station's health-related community outreach activities, such as the annual NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Gentzler began her broadcast career at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, Tenn., as a general assignment reporter. A year later, she went to work as a reporter and later as an anchor with WSOC-TV, the ABC affiliate in Charlotte, N.C. In 1983, she moved to WKYC-TV in Cleveland. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Gentzler has won three Emmy awards for reporting and anchoring, as well as three other Emmy Awards for news writing and reporting while in Cleveland. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.
