Ms. Fredricks Verified

Ms. Fay Fredricks joined 12 News in April 2001. She serves as co-anchor with Mark Curtis on 12 News Up Front, the station's new news program that airs weekdays at 4:30 pm. Fays has also co-anchored the weekend newscasts and 12 News at 5 p.m., as well as general assignment reporting. Fay grew up in Los Angeles. Fay always knew she wanted to work in television. After graduating, Fay returned to California to work in the cable industry. She brings to 12 News experience covering Arizona, working early in her career as an anchor/reporter at KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff and in Phoenix at KTVK-TV. Fay came to 12 News from Miami where she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WAMI-TV, the flagship station of Barry Diller's "USA Broadcasting." It was there, that Fay's reporting earned her two Emmy nominations. She was also honored with an Emmy in series reporting. Fay says the beautiful Arizona sunsets were one of the things that lured her back to the state. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science at the University of Miami in Florida.
