Julie Carey is a general assignment reporter with a focus on covering Virginia issues, particularly politics. She has reported on issues such as child abuse, prison and parole policies, and statewide elections. She was the lead reporter in the Lee Malvo sniper trial. She also has covered the Virginia Military Institute and the integration of women into the corps.
