Apple specialists MacRumors has now compiled a list of what it predicts the tech giant will release throughout 2021, and it’s looking like a big year for Tim Cook and his team.
With the arrival of new Silicon chips last year, the outlet says that Apple will be releasing a range of new iMac models all carrying the chips during the first half of 2021. They’ll carry an “iPad Pro design language” and come in either 23 or 24-inch sizes, with a minimal bezel. The third generation of standard AirPods will be coming, this time looking more like the AirPods Pro model with shorter stems and replaceable ear tips. Wrapping up the first six months of 2021 will be the previously-discussed mini-LED iPad Pro, with rumors suggesting that it’ll come in two sizes: 12.9 inches and 11 inches.
Moving into the second half of the year, the website says Apple will be introducing new 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, also upgraded with the new Silicon chips. This will be followed by the tech giant’s annual iPhone release, now into its 13th generation, which is said to come in all the same sizing options as the current iPhone 12. Along with the launch of this more premium line is the iPhone SE Plus, which analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests will have a full-screen design and 5G support. Completing the year off will be the Apple Watch Series 7, although not much is known about this drop just yet.
Outside of the year-long release schedule, MacRumors also listed a number of products that they think are currently in the works but have no concrete release date. These include some form of smart glasses, Apple’s Tile competitor AirTags, an iPad Mini 6, a new Apple TV, and another generation of the AirPods Pro.
